I really don't want to track everything I eat. Is that going to be an issue?
Nope. Tracking calories is the most accurate way to see progress, but it's not the only way. If you hate it, I will work with you on other methods - portion control, habit-based approaches or a lighter version of tracking. The goal is something you'll actually stick to, not something that works perfectly on paper and falls apart in week 2.
I have a dodgy knee / shoulder / [other body part]. Is this still safe?
I will ask about any existing injuries or niggles during your initial consultation and will program around them. You won't be expected to do exercises that don't work for your body. In fact, structured strength training done correctly is one of the best things you can do for joint health long term - but nothing gets forced.
How much time do I need to commit each week?
That's actually something you tell me - not the other way round. If you have 3 hours a week, great. If you have 45 minutes twice a week, that works too. The programme is written around the time you actually have, not the time you're supposed to have.
What kind of results should I expect?
Steady, consistent fat loss of around 0.5-1 pound per week. Increases in strength that you'll feel pretty quickly. Better energy, better sleep and, honestly, a better relationship with food and exercise because you're not white-knuckling a diet you hate. Most clients notice meaningful changes within the first month. These aren't overnight results, but they're results that actually stay.
Do I have to track everything I eat?

I don't have access to a gym. Does this still work?

Will you give me a meal plan?
Short answer: no. I am qualified to offer nutritional advice when it comes to food choices, but only a registered dietitian should write meal plans. Additionally, I think it's important that you decide for yourself what foods you would like to eat, and I firmly believe all foods are perfectly fine to have within a balanced diet.
Rigid plans don't allow for the flexibility that our life often requires.
I'm going through perimenopause / menopause. Does that change things?
It changes the approach, but it doesn't make results impossible - quite the opposite. I am a qualified menopause coach and know exactly how hormonal shifts affect training, fat loss and recovery. This isn't a programme that ignores what's happening in your body and hopes for the best.
